Inventive Leisure invests in update for Revolution website

revolution websiteInventive Leisure has relaunched its website for Revolution bars after research revealed that over half of visits to its website were via mobile phones.

The new site has been designed for use with smartphones and tablet devices while its branding reflects changes in the bars through the company’s £10million Evolution investment programme.

With 55 per cent of visitors using a mobile phone to access the site, the website’s booking systems have been streamlined to make them easier to use on all devices.

Its development was based on different groups that use the bars and the website, including young professionals, students, corporate bookers and party planners.

Their journey through the site was mapped to ensure as smooth a process as possible. New features include occasion-led party pages to allow people to plan and build their party, from birthdays and stag and hen dos to corporate events.

In addition to a blog, the website also provides easy access to all Revolution social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

The new website is intended to be more visually appealing in line with the high-end, premium transformation of the refurbished bars under the Evolution programme. Design features from the evolved bars have been replicated online, such as the colour palette.

The website promotes the Revolution brand’s renewed focus on food and its commitment to creating a complete occasion for customers by connecting its food and drink offering.

A new strapline has been introduced, “Cocktails and Kitchen”, to bring the bar experience online for customers, with filtered food menus and full drinks lists representing the actual menus in the bars.

Each of the 66 bars has its own area on the website with local information for easy access to events and individual bar menus. Selected bars include 360-degree tours, and customers can find their nearest bar using geo-tagging.

The new-look website is at www.revolution-bars.co.uk.

Carl Morris, head of marketing at Inventive Leisure, said: “Our objective with the launch of the new website is to position Revolution as a digital leader in the hospitality industry.

“Digital has always been important to the business as we know our customers look for innovative, stunning, user-focused platforms to engage with the brand.

“We are delighted to see the continued evolution of the Revolution brand successfully represented online and are confident that our customers will benefit from the innovative functionality of the new website.”
