Jack Daniel’s adds barrel-strength to Single Barrel range

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Strength

A new limited-edition expression has been released for Jack Daniel’s whiskey in the UK as part of its Single Barrel Collection.

The new Barrel Strength has been bottled at 64.5% ABV, developed to appeal to more discerning consumers who want to explore the world of whiskey.

Created by master distiller Jeff Arnett, this high-character single-barrel Tennessee whiskey is designed to best reflect the flavour created by using the toasted and charred American white oak barrels.

These barrels are never mingled but bottled individually in very limited quantities. Created in the upper floor of the barrel house, the product is an 80% corn, 12% malt and 8% rye grain bill.

Single Barrel Barrel Strength is described as an aromatic and surprisingly smooth whiskey, with notes of sweet brown sugar that give way to rich toasted oak and hints of dark spice. It is recommended for serving neat or with a few cubes of ice.

Each of the expressions in the Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel range is crafted from one specially selected barrel at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery. Only one in every 100 barrels is hand-selected by the Jack Daniel’s Master Tasting Panel.

The extremes in temperature within the barrelhouse across the seasons creates the bold and robust flavours of the whiskey inside. Each individual bottle is then hand-labelled and marked with a unique rick number and bottling date.

With a recommended price in retail of £54.99, Single Barrel Barrel Strength is available from the Jack Daniel’s online store in limited quantities.
