Jones Bar Group is redeveloping one of its bars in Leeds into a new concept that celebrates the city’s cocktail culture.
Work is well under way on turning Brooklyn Bar in Call Lane into Epic Cocktail Club which will focus “very heavily on the quality of the drinks and the different styles of service they will offer”.
Aiming to celebrate Leeds’ already-thriving cocktail culture, it promises “two floors of cocktails”. It is due to open on August 25.
The ground-floor bar is to have a staple menu of 50 cocktails to choose from and will offer “two for one” on all cocktails every day until 8pm and throughout the night on Mondays.
The First Floor Lounge will be a bespoke sit-down cocktail experience that claims to be “unlike any other cocktail bar in Leeds”. It will be open only Friday and Saturday nights, with booking advised.
It will “tantalise all the senses” as each cocktail will have its own personal fragrance that has been created in the bar’s open kitchen to match the tones of each flavour.
Brooklyn Bar was opened six years ago by Jones Bar Group which operates nine other venues including Roxy Ball Room in Leeds, Liverpool and Huddersfield.
Managing director Matt Jones said: “Brooklyn was one of the first bars that we opened in the city centre. We are very excited to be reinvigorating the space in this iconic location and can’t wait for the opening of Epic Cocktail Club.”
