Kärcher urges outlets to celebrate Thank Your Cleaner Day

Four Seasons staff, Thank Your Cleaner Day

Cleaning technology specialist Kärcher is partnering with the CSSA plus other cleaning industry associations and contractors to spread the word about international Thank Your Cleaner Day.

Cleaning is one of the most important industries in the world yet is often undervalued by those who benefit from the service.

Every day tens of thousands of skilled, hardworking cleaning staff are onsite to ensure premises, working and living environments are kept clean, safe and hygienic ensuring they are ready to go for the next business day.

Originating in New Zealand in 2015, and now in its fourth year, Thank Your Cleaner Day is a global initiative for businesses all over the world to recognise the hard work of these often invisible cleaning heroes to let them know they are valued and appreciated.

Companies that are cleaned and maintained by cleaning contractors are joining together to support Thank Your Cleaner Day.

Kärcher makes the initiative public around the world and supports building service contractors to establish the Thank Your Cleaner Day for its customers.

This year’s Thank Your Cleaner Day will be held on 17 October. With eleven countries getting ready to showcase their cleaning industry, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Businesses can find out how they can make a difference by visiting www.thankyourcleanerday.com, post their pictures and comments on social using #thankyourcleaner and explain why their cleaning operative deserves to win a 5* trip to London by nominating them via a social media competition.

Various activities are taking place in companies in order to show appreciation and acknowledgement of their service. Over the years activities have included colourful events such as joint breakfasts, barbecues, and morning and afternoon teas for the cleaning teams.

Information about the planned local activities can be obtained from Kärcher UK or online.
