The King of Soho adds a splash of pink to its line-up with a new strawberry-flavoured Variorum Gin.
Inspired by the playful and enigmatic streets of Soho, Variorum’s strawberry notes “complement the essential juniper and citrus flavours” of the King of Soho’s original London Dry Gin which is used as the base for the recipe.
The King of Soho is the creation of independent spirits company West End Drinks, owned by Alex Robson and Howard Raymond.
Alex said: “The King of Soho Variorum Gin is a celebration of Soho’s creativity and literary works, which are also the inspiration behind the name – in literature, a variorum edition is an original work with notes.
“This smooth pink berry spirit, crafted in London, reflects the modernity and innovation of our brand and the ever-changing spirit that is Soho.”
With a lower ABV of 37.5% and fresh, natural strawberry flavours, the new expression has been created to be sipped over ice, or used in cocktails and mixed drinks.
The signature serve for the King of Soho Variorum Gin is the Variorum Cooler.
50ml King of Soho Variorum Gin
120ml Cranberry juice
120ml Pink grapefruit juice
Build in a tall glass filled with cubed ice, and garnish with a grapefruit twist and a strawberry.
Bottled with a RRP of £33.50, the new expression is being distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hi-Spirits.
