Swedish fruit cider brand Kopparberg is expanding its portfolio this month with the launch of a new variant on draught.
Kopparberg Black is an apple cider with a taste of blackcurrant and blackberry, available only on draught for the on-trade and designed to be served extra cold.
The new variant can be served from a sleek, black standalone font or font lens and tap handle bespoke to Kopparberg Black.
It will also be available at bars at summer festivals Lovebox, Citadel and Sundown alongside the brand’s new Kopparberg Outsider stage that will feature curated line-ups of live music. Kopparberg Black will be on sale alongside other products in the range.
Rob Salvesen, senior marketing manager at Kopparberg, said: “The move to offer a premium draught variant feels like a natural progression for Kopparberg, with its current position as the best-selling premium packaged fruit cider in the UK on-trade.
“As such, we’re extremely excited about the arrival of Kopparberg Black to our portfolio, not least being able to offer consumers a fruit cider on draught made to be more sessionable and a premium alternative to what is already on the market.”
Kopparberg Black will be supported as part of a £6 million integrated marketing plan throughout the year after the launch of the brand’s “Outside Is Ours” campaign ad last month, designed to evoke “the feeling of the best times spent outside with friends”.
