Swedish cider brand Kopparberg is preparing for the colder months with the launch of Kopparberg Spiced Apple in the on-trade in October.

It has a warming sweetness, balancing cinnamon notes with a woody aroma, either for serving over ice or warmed up as a seasonal treat in bars and pubs.

It will be supported nationally by promotional point-of-sale materials such as bespoke “Keep Cosy Kits”, including an urn and festive knit mugs to mull, dispense and serve the cider, as well as other serving suggestions.

Kopparberg head of marketing Rob Calder said: “Kopparberg cider fans have frequently asked us for a winter variant and, after a limited trial in 2013, we have decided to roll the variant out to a wider audience in 2014.

“The urns and mugs are wrapped with a winter jumper design to make them stand out from the busy back bar.”

With ABV of 4%, the variant will be available from various wholesalers and distributors. The range also includes Kopparberg Cloudberry, Elderflower & Lime, Mixed Fruit, Pear, Strawberry & Lime, Naked Apple and Raspberry.
