Following the launch of Low Alcohol Pils, German premium beer brand Krombacher has added a Non-Alcoholic Weizen to its range.
Brewed with Hallertau hops and fresh mountain spring water, the new wheat beer is less than 0.5% ABV and presents “fresh banana-like aromas balanced against malt and light hoppy notes”.
According to Krombacher, the new Weizen is best accompanied with light dishes such as fish, poultry or seafood, as well as zesty salads.
Looking to tap into the growing market for quality-tasting low and no-alcohol beers, Krombacher Non-Alcoholic Weizen will be rolled out to the on-trade ahead of summer in 50cl bottles, in cases of 12.
Stephan Kofler, Krombacher’s UK & Italy sales & marketing director, said: “Not only have campaigns like Dry January shown that there is a real demand for low and no-alcohol beers, but it’s made people realise that there are now some fantastic tasting options available of varying styles.
“Whether it’s down the local pub or at a major supermarket, you’re now seeing plenty of choice, and I believe our Weizen will prove a welcome addition to the arena.”
Krombacher is imported into the UK by Morgenrot and Oakham Ales.
