The Dukes, a new kind of chip developed specifically for pubs and bars, has been launched by potato specialist Lamb Weston.
Cut from 100% British potatoes from Lamb Weston’s The Dukes of Chippingdom brand, The Dukes are irregularly thick-cut to appear homemade – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with feathered golden edges.
Available with skin-off and skin-on, the chips are gluten-free, Red Tractor Certified and endorsed by the Craft Guild of Chefs.
Andrea Deutschmanek, Lamb Weston’s UK marketing manager, said: “The Dukes are perfect served naked but make an amazing base for creating enticing and inventive snacks that are dressed, loaded, for dipping or sharing.”
Andrea suggests creating Twerky Jerky Dukes & Cheese by tossing fried Dukes chips with a spicy jerk mix, topping with cheddar and baking for three minutes until the cheese has melted. Following this, add pineapple mayo, jerk sauce, coriander and spring onions.
She added: “Alternatively, for an irresistible Sunday dinner snack, offer a Pocketful of Dukes, a Yorkshire pudding wrap filled with Dukes chips, roast beef, cauliflower cheese, gravy and stuffing.”
