Cocktails featuring Lanique, the liqueur made with attar of rose, have been introduced at all Slug and Lettuce bars.
If features in the bars’ Fizz Bowls section, combined with prosecco, and in the shooter section as the Rose Delight where it is combined with Baileys. They are also offering the brand’s signature serve, Lanique & Lime where it is mixed with fresh lime juice over crushed ice.
The listing of Lanique at Stonegate Pub Company’s Slug and Lettuce bars has been supported by training delivered by Lanique’s brand ambassador, Emma Sprackling, at the Stonegate Academy. A sales-based incentive, encouraging increased sales of Lanique, is also being implemented.
Lanique, which is distributed in the UK by Love Drinks, is created by steam distilling thousands of rose petals sourced from the East. It was relaunched after being acquired by leading restaurateur Lawrence Huggler.
Lawrence said: “We are delighted that Lanique will be showcased in Slug and Lettuce bars around the country. We feel it’s a great fit with our target audience and we know Lanique will be a big hit with the Slug and Lettuce customer.
“Both myself and Emma Sprackling, the Lanique brand ambassador, have invested a huge amount of time and effort raising the awareness of Lanique amongst drinkers through events, sampling opportunities and sponsorships which we know will bear fruit with the listing. It’s a very exciting time for Lanique.”
Slug and Lettuce’s head of marketing Sam Maynard added: “Lanique is a perfect fit for Slug and Lettuce and what we represent. Not only will it look visually great on our back bar but it tastes even better and can be enjoyed across a number of our serves.”
