Latest fashions inspire bartenders at London rooftop bar

vista trafalgar hotelLondon Fashion Week has inspired bartenders at the rooftop Vista bar at the capital’s Trafalgar Hotel to create “designer” cocktails.

The limited-edition cocktails take inspiration from the hottest trends for spring/summer 2014 which will be seen on the catwalks for London’s fashion showcase from September 14 to 17.

Daniel Carvalho, bar manager at Vista, said: “Creating cocktails to reflect items from the spring/summer 2014 collections has been an exciting and enjoyable challenge.

“It was important to convey the chic and feminine style that’s seen in the range of clothes on offer, while also creating bold and eye-catching cocktails that capture the essence of summer as well as the imagination of the drinker.”

Available now until September 30, the three cocktails include the Navajo White, a combination of Captain Morgan’s Spiced rum, Mozart White chocolate liqueur, Grand Marnier liqueur, apple juice and a squeeze of lemon, served over crushed ice.

The Passion for Fashion cocktail is a tropical blend of spiced rum and ginger, mixed with passion fruit, strawberry and champagne.

Liquid Couture is a mix of Bacardi rum, port and Martini Rosato vermouth combined with lychee juice, fresh lime and silky caramel syrup, finished off with a spritz of orange oil for a taste of “liquid couture”.

Located on the sixth floor of the hotel, Vista has also launched a new food menu at the Vista Grill, which infuses savoury dishes with classic cocktail ingredients. It is available from midday to 3pm and from 5pm to 10pm daily. Cocktails are served from midday onwards.
