Latest innovations in food and drink at IFE 2015

The latest in food and drink are on the menu alongside seasoned industry experts at this year’s IFE international trade show in London. A calendar fixture for over 30 years, IFE returns in March to offer exciting features and a packed line-up of 80 renowned chefs and keynote speakers, providing industry knowledge, insights and inspiration.

Running from March 22 to 25 at London’s Excel Centre, it is split into nine sections including Drinks, Speciality and Regional Food from Britain and Ireland, Cheese & Dairy, Meat & Seafood, Bakery & Confectionery, Ingredients, Health & Wellbeing, and General Food. The Gourmet Drinker section will feature the best alcoholic drinks available from smaller producers.

This year’s exhibition will draw an estimated 30,000 professionals from across the food and drink industry, including operators of bars, pubs, restaurants and hotels as well as other parts of foodservice, retail and manufacturing. It will host live chef demonstrations, seminars and sessions on menu and product development ideas.

IFE 2015’s innovative programme of events includes a packed agenda of seminar and Q&A sessions in the exhibition’s Hub, with a focus on retailers. However, a dedicated Drinks Theatre will feature a mix of demonstrations and presentations focusing on various areas from cocktails to health drinks and tea.

Having secured some of the industry’s most talented chefs including Allister Bishop, Alyn Williams and Adam Simmonds, IFE 2015’s Skillery aims to boost visitors’ culinary know-how and help them learn the latest tips. The event’s Great British Kitchen will also be a hub of activity with live demonstrations using the very best locally sourced ingredients.

The event also welcomes the return and support of the show’s prominent partners such as the British Frozen Food Federation, the Craft Guild of Chefs and Food and Drink Federation.

Show director Chris McCuin said: “The IFE 2015 team are working extremely hard to ensure that this year’s event is the best yet. It is a great opportunity for food producers to showcase their products and it also provides a fantastic networking opportunity for all food industry sectors.

“We would encourage as many people to visit as possible, it is the wide variety of exhibitors and visitors that help make the show great and builds its reputation as the UK’s leading food and drink event.”
