Leading industry figures to speak at The Glasgow Sessions

Erik Lorincz The London Sessions Glasgow

The London Sessions – a series of talks for bartenders by leading figures in the bar and drinks world – are coming to Scotland this week.

The first of the Glasgow Sessions takes place on Thursday October 13 at Saint Luke’s music and arts venue, featuring three well-known names and supported by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.

They include Erik Lorincz, head bartender at The American Bar at The Savoy in London, who will lead a session on creativity. Also speaking will be Stuart McCluskey, who is behind leading Edinburgh bars The Bon Vivant and The Devil’s Advocate, with a session focusing on entrepreneurialism.

The third speaker will be Jeff Arnett, the seventh master distiller for Jack Daniel’s in Lynchburg, Tennessee, who will talk about producing the world’s biggest premium whiskey brand.

The Glasgow Sessions follow more than 24 sessions that have been held in London plus the New York Sessions in the US. The concept was launched last year by Rebekkah Dooley, a hospitality industry specialist who now works with The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog and Blacktail in Manhattan.

The session runs from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. The sessions are free to attend but places must be booked in advance by emailing rebekkah@rebekkahdooley.com.
