Bars and restaurants from around Leeds are coming together under one roof this week for an evening of “discovery and wonder” at Cocktails in the City.
They will be serving up drinks at pop-ups spread across a series of spaces at Leeds Town Hall on Thursday (March 26), ranging from the clock tower to the court room.
Participating bars and restaurants include The Maven, 314 in Progress, Skylounge, Manahatta, The Alchemist. Cielo Blanco, Jake’s Bar & Still Room, Palm Sugar at Chaophraya, The Botanist, Malmaison, Epernay, Roxy Ball Rooms, Mojo, Black Swan, The Reform, The Brotherhood, The Pit, Roast & Conch, The Backroom and Meatliquor.
Partnering leading drinks brands, they will be popping up in the Great Hall with an exciting new selection of this season’s cocktails, including many created especially for the show.
Other features of the event for consumers include a Roxy games room and a “secret” street food market in the crypt curated by the new Leeds Indie Food Festival.
Andrew Scutts, organiser of the show, said: “Leeds Town Hall has an amazing array of unique spaces that we are excited to be using for extraordinary tastings and experiences.
“With some great new bars, exciting street food and music, we look forward to an even bigger and better 2015 following the success of last year.”
It follows the success of the Leeds event last year – one of a series of Cocktails in the City run with bars and drinks brands in cities around the UK by the same team as the trade-only Boutique Bar Show.
Tickets for the Leeds show are £10 and include one cocktail, a cocktail booklet and demonstrations on the main stage. Additional cocktails, food and tastings are £6.
