Lochlea ‘4 Elements’ Highball


Representing the rich earth and fresh Ayrshire air pivotal to growing our barley, the Scottish seawater used to produce Blackthorn Salt and the sweet fieriness of the ginger ale, the Lochlea ‘4 Elements’ highball is a wonderfully refreshing serve perfectly suited to the summer months.

Ingredients (makes one serve):

50ml Lochlea ‘Our Barley’ Single Malt Whisky

20ml salted honey gomme using Blackthorn Salt

2 generous squeezes of fresh lime

200ml Fever Tree ginger ale

A slice of fresh lime

Blackthorn Salt flakes

Method:

  1. Pre-chill a highball glass for 5 minutes then fill with ice
  2. Add the whisky, honey gomme and 2 generous squeezes of fresh lime 
  3. Top with 200ml Fever Tree ginger ale and stir
  4. Garnish with a slice of fresh lime and a sprinkle of Blackthorn Salt 
  5. Enjoy!
