The Oxo Tower in London has launched an outside terrace in partnership with 1800 Tequila, specialising in summery cocktails and classics with a tequila twist.
The 1800 Terrace has been created on the eight floor of the Thames-side bar, open daily until June 4, with designer furnishings from West Elm.
The cocktail menu features a range of bespoke serves curated by the Oxo Tower’s bartenders including the 1800 Summer Blush which sees 1800 Añejo shaken long with apple, cranberry, rose and cherry.
Also on the menu is a spin on a classic Margarita, called Rita’s Cousin, with 1800 Reposado, pressed pineapple juice and delicate notes of cardamom and bergamot.
Beauty & the Beast mixes the tropical flavours of 1800 Coconut Tequila, pressed pineapple and passion fruit with the earthy tones of black pepper, basil and fresh strawberries.
From Dusk till Dawn (pictured right) is a champagne cocktail made with 1800 Silver Tequila, fresh orange, ginger, crème de cassis and Oxo Brut NV.
The twist on the Negroni (pictured left) sees the gin replaced by 1800 Silver Tequila along with Campari, Antica Formula vermouth and orange bitters.
To tie in with the Mexican brunch menu, there is a twist on a Bloody Mary made with 1800 Silver. Brunch dishes include sweet potato and corn fritter, chilli con carne, elote corn, buñuelos (fried dough balls) and huevos rancheros.
There is also an Espresso Martini made with 1800 Añejo tequila and 1800 Coconut Tequila shaken with fresh coffee and Kahlúa.
Weekly masterclasses will be held where 1800 tequilas will be tasted alongside a modern Mexican-inspired menu designed by the Oxo Tower’s chefs.
