A dating night with a doggy twist has been created by Eclectic Bar Group at its bar Embargo Republica in Chelsea, London.

Taking place tonight (November 6) on its large covered roof terrace (pictured), it has invited singletons along with their pet dogs for a speed-dating event and “doggy disco”.

Admission is £10, with all funds raised going to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. While the humans meet each other, the dogs can mingle and enjoy special dog treats.

Andy Johnson, general manager at Embargo Republica said: “The Chelsea set love their canine cuties so we thought transforming ourselves into ‘Embarko Repuglica’ for the evening would be a great way to raise some money for the brilliant Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

“Dogs are a great way to break the ice between strangers, so we’re sure the event will be a huge hit and love will be in the air!”

Refurbished and relaunched earlier this year, the Cuban-inspired venue specialises in cool cocktails and Latin beats.
