London brewer to embark on expansion of The Taproom bars

Hop Stuff Brewery in London is to open a second location for its bar, The Taproom, as part of plans to expand to five sites.

Due to open later this year, The Taproom SE8 will be in the arches of the redeveloped Deptford Market Yard in south-east London alongside businesses such as artisanal coffee houses and creative design studios.

It follows the success of The Taproom SE18 next to the brewery in Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. The bar specialises in sourdough pizzas alongside craft beers including Hop Stuff brews such as Four Hour Session, Renegade IPA, Arsenal Pale Ale (APA), Unfiltered Pils and Fusilier.

It follows a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2016 which is not only helping Hop Stuff to expand its group of bars but also to finance a new brewhouse in 2017.

James Yeomans, founder of Hop Stuff Brewery, said: “We receive a lot of support, but understand that Woolwich is out of the way for some people so we’re stoked to be opening another Hop Stuff Brewery Taproom further afield.

“Like our site in SE18, we want to capture the vibe from the best on-site brewery tap rooms, offering up the full Hop Stuff range, a slew of local craft on guest taps, beautiful sourdough pizza using local ingredients, and a buzzing space where anyone feels at home.

“So we reckon Hop Stuff will fit in right at home with the other Market Yard units, and we’re really excited about the up-and-coming vibrancy that Deptford offers.”
