London Essence Co launches tonic on dispense

London Essence Fresh Serve

Mixer brand The London Essence Company is introducing a new dispense system to the on-trade that serves flavoured tonic water infusions.

The system, London Essence Fresh Serve, offers five flavours from the London Essence tonic water portfolio, including the brand’s classic Indian variant, elderflower, cucumber, grapefruit and rhubarb.

The bar-top unit infuses London Essence’s distilled botanicals into chilled tonic water at point of service. It is said to ensure freshness and the purest flavour in every serve and reduces packaging by 96%.

London Essence Fresh Serve has been developed to meet both consumer demand for premium drinking experiences and trade demand for great quality, operational simplicity and improved sustainability.

The fount is made from copper and stainless steel and features a London Essence tonic and spirit pairing sheet to provide bartenders with serve inspiration.

Ounal Bailey, co-founder of The London Essence Company, said: “The London Essence Company creates versatile tonics that elevate every occasion and serve, from the classic G&T to more contemporary offerings.

“This new, innovative fount system allows a more sustainable and simple way for bars to serve tonics. It delivers on and complements the exceptional quality expected from The London Essence Company’s range of exquisite drinks.”

Offering insight into the technology, Keith Richardson, director of new technologies at The London Essence Company, added: “Boasting a simple three-step process, London Essence Fresh Serve starts with a balanced and consistent tonic base to which optimally chilled water is then added and carbonated.

“Post carbonation, specially designed cartridges release droplets of distilled botanicals – our unique essence – into the liquid to achieve freshness and the purest flavour. Just one cartridge accounts for up to 1,000 200ml serves and helps create the perfect drink.”

London Essence Fresh Serve is currently being trialled in outlets nationally and will be rolled out to the on-trade from February 2020.
