London Fashion Week inspires St James’s bar

dukes lfw 1A range of cocktails has been introduced at the bar at Dukes St James London to tie in with this month’s London Fashion Week.

The limited-edition champagne cocktails, available throughout February, are inspired by fashion icons including Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Karl Lagerfeld and Coco Chanel.

PJ Lounge bar at the St James’s hotel is one of the destinations for people involved in London Fashion Week’s catwalk shows which will take place nearby from February 14 to 18.

Priced £16 each, they include the Coco – an elegant pale blue combination of violet liqueur, maraschino liqueur and lemon juice, topped up with champagne and served in an Art Deco-style cut crystal glass.

The hotel’s general manager Debrah Dhugga said: “London Fashion Week is always a fun time for us at Dukes, with many a designer, model and member of the fashion set passing through our doors, and so this year we are celebrating the glitz, glamour and style of London, the shows and our timeless hotel with our very own collection – of cocktails.

“Inspired by some of my favourite fashion icons, the recipes are delicious – the perfect way to start an evening.”

Other cocktails are The Duchess, mixing rhubarb, elderflower, lime and champagne, and The Cara, combining mango, orange juice, Galliano L’Autentico and champagne.

The Handbag is a mix of gin, Dubonnet and Angostura Bitters on a sugar cube, with a drop of fresh orange juice and champagne. The Kate adds champagne to a mix of vodka, lemon juice, sugar syrup and Poire William liqueur.

The Anna combines white crème de menthe, lemon juice, rum, sugar syrup and champagne, while The Karl features Campari, Martini Rosso vermouth, orange and champagne.
