Historic French champagne house Maison Perrier-Jouët is releasing its first ever non-fungible token (NFT) via BlockBar.com, the world’s first NFT marketplace for luxury wine and spirits, featuring a limited-edition Jeroboam (3L) of Perrier-Jouët Vintage 2007 from the Anemone collection as well as a two-day, one-night stay at UNESCO World Heritage Site Maison Belle Epoque.
With only 10 available in the world, BlockBar.com is exclusively releasing number 10 of 10 and the last of the three-litre Belle Epoque 2007 engraved with the message ‘1st Perrier-Jouët NFT’. The Belle Epoque 2007 of the Perrier-Jouët exclusive Anemone Collection is composed of six Belle Epoque vintage cuvées embellished with hand-crafted floral lacework inspired by the House’s emblematic Japanese anemones that cling to the curves of the bottle. Fashioned in 24-carat yellow gold by master goldsmiths of Orfèverie Felix, guarantors of a traditional savoir-faire that has been crafting exceptional pieces for royalty and luxury hotels since 1875, the precious décor is designed to match the exceptional expression of the champagne. Wonderfully fresh with aromas of flowers and citrus, the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2007 lingers on the palate with notes of white fruit and almond milk.
In addition to the unique Jeroboam Belle Epoque bottle the NFT includes the opportunity to be invited guests at the elegant family home of the founders of Maison Perrier-Jouët to experience the Perrier-Jouët Fascination journey. Located in the centre of Epernay in Northern France, Maison Belle Epoque contains the largest private collection of French Art Nouveau in Europe, a testament to the shared philosophy between the House and the artistic movement. Over the course of two days, the bottle owner and a guest will be immersed in the joie de vivre,Perrier-Jouët style; a deep-dive into the cultural heritage of Perrier-Jouët with the House ambassador, gastronomic offerings by Executive Chef Sebastien Morellon paired with Belle Epoque cuvées, vineyard and cellar tours, and tastings of the non-vintage range.
BlockBar democratizes access to luxury wines and spirits whilst offering bottle owners storage, insurance and a marketplace to resell their bottles. Upon purchase of the limited-edition Jeroboam of Perrier-Jouët Vintage 2007, the physical version will be held securely by BlockBar, with a record of authenticity held on the blockchain as a digital certificate of ownership.
