Manchester bar Elixir Tonics and Treats is set to be transformed into a market for artisan spirits and beers for the city’s food and drink festival.

The Liquor Market is returning to the Deansgate venue this Saturday (September 12) for a third year, offering consumers and bartenders a chance to sample and buy products.

Created by Dave Marsland of Drinks Enthusiast in 2013, the one-day market has grown to become a highlight of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival which runs from September 10 to 21.

Highlights will include scotch whisky bottlings from Wemyss Malts, Warner Edwards gin from Northamptonshire, Pinkster Gin, Belsazar vermouths from Germany, and south Manchester brewery Robinsons.

It will showcase Maverick Drinks’ Professor Cornelius Ampleforth range of boutique spirits, which includes Bathtub Gin and Rumbullion! rum, as well as the Jewel Isle Rum Punch range of bottled drinks made with Caribbean rum and fruit juices.

It will run from 2pm to 6pm. Tickets at £11.50 per person are available at
