Premium gin brand Martin Miller’s has launched 9 Moons Solera Reserve, the next expression in its Moons Range.
9 Moons Solera Reserve shares the same botanicals as Martin Miller’s Gin and is aged for nine months in Iceland in French oak barrels, which is said to complement the citrus profile of the gin and boost flavour intensity.
The liquid is created using a new Solera Vat process of ageing and blending two different batches together. The method gradually increases the average age of the gin over time, “ensuring consistency”.
David Bromige, co-founder of Martin Miller’s Gin, said: “Following the success of the 9 Moons Single Cask, we have been continuously evaluating and testing methods which would allow us to regularly produce a variety of the same high standard.
“We are delighted that, through the Solera Vat process, we can introduce the 9 Moons Solera Reserve to our consumers which will allow them to enjoy the same quality and flavour profile with each new bottle.”
The focus for the 9 Moons Solera Reserve will be the prestige on-trade, who will be introduced to the brand’s Martinez serve, made with sweet vermouth, Maraschino liqueur and Angostura bitters.
