Martin Miller’s seeks ‘romance and adventure in a glass’

A global bartending competition has been launched for Martin Miller’s Gin, seeking the best multi-sensory cocktail-drinking experiences that offer “romance and adventure in a glass”.

Under the banner of We are the Tastemakers, it is looking for five bartenders from different regions of the world who will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Iceland, home of the water with which the gin is blended.

The individuals will need to create a drinking experience that encapsulates what is considered to be the essence of Martin Miller’s brand story, “Romance and adventure in a glass”.

It challenges bartenders to create a unique Martin Miller’s Gin based cocktail that relates to the region from which they are entering, such as a local ingredient or reflecting a local drinking trend.

They will be encouraged to create drinks that not only taste great but which are also theatrically or imaginatively presented and embrace the free-thinking and creativity synonymous with the late Martin Miller, who “tore up the rule book” when creating his eponymous gin.

The closing date for the first stage of online entries via www.martinmillersgin.com is midday on June 30, 2014 (GMT).

Martin Miller’s Gin is made with two separate distillations that give it a much better balance between the signature notes of juniper and the bright, refreshing notes of citrus.
