Master of Malt Trade supports hospitality industry through expansion

Master of Malt Trade sees rapid growth in order to support the drinks industry as the on-trade and off-trade reopen.

As the final stages of lockdown lift in the UK and people flock to pubs, bars, and restaurants indoors once more, Master of Malt Trade, the wholesale arm of Master of Malt, the multi-award-winning online retailer, expands its team in order to help support the growing demand, following on from its re-launch in January 2021. Through recruiting new team members and launching its social media presence with its Facebook and LinkedIn profiles, the retailer is ensuring it’s fully equipped to support the on- and off-trade with thousands of products.

Founded in 2010, Master of Malt Trade is a one-stop shop for incredible drinks, offering competitive prices on over 10,000 products. While its portfolio of course includes top-notch spirits such as whisky, gin, and rum, it’s also handy for a diverse range of mixers, beers, syrups, canned cocktails, wine, Champagne, and more. Simplicity and flexibility is at its heart; from one bottle to hundreds, no order is too small, which is why there’s no minimum order size. Customers can also take advantage of free delivery on UK Mainland orders over £200+VAT, as well as next day delivery – plans can change, which is why the cut-off time has recently been extended to 18:00 to ensure even more businesses are accommodated for.

If it’s expert advice you’re after, its WSET Level 2 Award in Spirits-trained in-house customer service team is on hand between 8:00 and 18:30 for any queries. Via either a serviced or managed account, businesses of all sizes can access trend insights and guidance in order to meet their needs. Account holders include, but are not limited to independent retailers and convenience stores, bars, restaurants, and events companies – of course other businesses with drinks sourcing requirements are more than welcome to create an account.

Customers also get access to Master of Malt Trade-exclusive products, such as the Base Spirits range from Atom Labs, the agile innovation arm of Atom Group. Excitingly, it has recently launched a new range of spirits, from gin and vodka to whisk(e)y and rum, aimed at providing a base for cocktails in the on-trade. These are now available in a range of environmentally friendly 10-litre bag-in-boxes, solely available through Master of Malt Trade. Focusing on low cost and high quality, alongside convenience and sustainability, it’s perfect for the back bar.

Master of Malt Trade customers can also make the most of the other delicious offerings from Atom Labs. Perfect for summer, Project #173 is a range of naturally flavoured rums in high-end packaging, decorated with 23 karat gold leaf flakes, with notably popular variants including Butterscotch, Chocolate, and Pineapple. There’s also the Flavoursmiths range of flavoured gins, bringing vibrant flavours at an affordable price, with the Sicilian Lemon edition proving immensely sought-after.

“It’s great to see the trade opening up again, and Master of Malt Trade continues to grow, adapt, and expand its portfolio to support it,” said Liam Belton, Master of Malt Trade Lead. “Our re-brand this January couldn’t have come at a better time, allowing us to put flexibility at the forefront of our service – in this vein, we’ve recently just extended our cut-off for next day delivery to 6pm. We’re also recruiting throughout our sales and service teams to support both new and existing customers around the country.”

Want to sweeten the deal? New Master of Malt Trade customers could also be in with a chance of winning £1,000 worth of free stock if they sign up via before 30 June. To qualify they must be an on- or off-trade business that stocks alcohol for resale or hospitality purposes. Liam Belton commented: “We’re so excited to welcome new Trade customers, and to showcase all we have to offer in our portfolio. We’d love for everyone eligible to get involved in our competition, because sharing the joy of great drinks is what we’re all about.”
