Matthew Clark provides St Patrick’s Day support to bars

Jameson Ginger Ale & Lime

Leading drinks supplier Matthew Clark is helping licensees to make the most of St Patrick’s Day with tailored support, from point-of-sale kits to serve suggestions.

A support package in association with Irish whiskey Jameson includes a themed POS kit that will drive the brand’s perfect serve with ginger and lime, supported on social media.

The kit includes 25 Jameson cups, 10 table talkers, a bar runner, 50 drink coasters and three metres of bunting, helping drive rate of sale and visibility in‐venue around St Patrick’s Day on Saturday March 17.

As part of the activity, Matthew Clark will also drive distribution of Jameson Caskmates whiskey aged in ex-stout barrels along with London brewery Meantime, promoting the pairing of beer and whiskey.

It is also recommending a Jameson Caskmates Irish Coffee with Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition.

In collaboration with Guinness, the on-trade drinks supplier is providing Guinness kegs and bottles as well as branded POS to dress venues for St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Matthew Clark is also advising operators to mix up their drinks offering to give customers a variety of St Patrick’s Day themed drinks, supported by bespoke POS, menus and recipes.

Other brands in the promotional mix include Jawbox Gin from Belfast, Gunpowder Gin from Ireland and Hop House 13 beer from Guinness owner Diageo.

Katie Cook, category marketing manager for spirits at Matthew Clark, said: “St. Patrick’s Day presents a huge sales opportunity for licensees, even more so this year with England playing Ireland in the Six Nations tournament on the same day.

“With this in mind, we’re dedicated to making sure that our customers have everything they need to truly make the most of this unique opportunity, and help drive footfall and increase sales as a result.”
