Merchant House team to open Britain’s smallest bar

Merchant House Brig

The team behind London’s Merchant House bars have created a new cocktail bar offering a bespoke experience for up to only four people.

Dubbed “London’s smallest bar”, The Brig is accessible through an unmarked door in Well Court in the City, using a unique four-digit code sent to guests in advance.

Inside, between two to four guests at a time can enjoy bespoke cocktails, play their own music and have their own private bartender. Booked in one-hour slots online, it costs £50 per person per hour, including all drinks.

The Brig’s ceiling and bar have been constructed from old whiskey casks to deliver a “below deck” feel.

It has been created in the same alleyway as the original Merchant House, which was opened nearly three years ago by Nate Brown and Lewis Hayes.

To start, the bar has partnered with Pernod Ricard’s Artisanal Brand Company with its Redbreast Irish whiskey to offer a unique Redbreast Whiskey Experience this springtime.
