Molson Coors partners PepsiCo to add snacks with drinks deliveries

Walkers Market Deli range

Molson Coors has formed a partnership with PepsiCo in the UK and Ireland that will see bar snacks offered as part of its delivery service to the on-trade.

Walkers crisps, Nobby’s Nuts, Bacon Fries, Scampi Fries and Market Deli are now available to any Molson Coors customer as part of their drinks order.

To support the partnership, PepsiCo and Molson Coors are offering a dedicated sales team providing on-trade outlets with advice on maximising sales as well as distributing point-of-sale material.

James Harrison, director of trading at Molson Coors, said: “This is a really exciting partnership for us, allowing us to expand beyond simply offering drinks. We strive to be first choice for our customers and their consumers, and having a diverse product range is an important part of this, so for us the partnership made complete sense.

“The snacks will be a great complement to our range of over 2,000 drinks, including over 700 wines and 70 permanent cask ales.”

The Molson Coors national contact centre is open from 8am to 8pm and allows outlets to place an order by phone or online up to 8pm on their order day and still get their delivery on their chosen date.

Richard Honey, channel controller at PepsiCo, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Molson Coors, which will help drive distribution of our Walkers snacks, the number-one crisp brand in pubs and a brand consumers know and love.

“We have an extensive snacks portfolio that accounts for more than half of all crisps sales in pubs across the UK and customers who buy crisps, snacks and nuts in pubs tend to stay longer, so we are confident that this partnership will help outlets to drive sales.”
