Monkey Shoulder unveils its latest bartending tool to make life better

Monkey Shoulder The Claw

The latest in the ongoing series of state-of-the-art bar tools has been unveiled by the team at Monkey Shoulder whisky.

The Claw is a high-quality and more user-friendly alternative to tongs, allowing more precision when picking up ice, garnishes or other ingredients for drinks.

It follows last year’s release of the reinvented Konga Shaker, which mixes up drinks through a rotating system, and the retractable barspoon, iSpoon, launched in 2014.

The Claw was unveiled this week as Monkey Shoulder prepares for a global celebration of a classic cocktail with Old Fashioned Week, running from November 2 to 11.

The brand is focusing on a Lazy Old Fashioned – a pre-batched recipe using either original Monkey Shoulder or the new lightly peated Smokey Monkey variant. Point-of-sale materials include a branded orange carpet, like a red carpet, offering a “fast lane” for customers who specifically want the Old Fashioned.

Old Fashioned Week and the launch of The Claw to bartenders in the UK is supported by new UK brand ambassador John Wayte who has moved back after working as a drinks brand ambassador in Poland. He will work alongside Monkey Shoulder’s global brand ambassador, Joe Petch.
