Morgenrot adds to its Cervecera Artesana range

Cervecera Artesana's Palax IPA

Drinks importer Morgenrot has increased its selection of Riojan beers from the Cervecera Artesana brewery in Spain with the addition of Palax ‘Session’ IPA.

The new arrival, which is made with Mosaic, Citra, Amarillo, Sorachi Ace and Cascade hops as well as pale, pilsner and other malts, is available on draught in 30ltr key-kegs and 33cl bottles, and joins the Spanish brewery’s Palax Artesan Lager and Ceriux grape and grain beers in the Morgenrot portfolio.

At 3.9% ABV, Palax IPA is “easy drinking” and light in strength. It has Palax’s “typically malt inclined style and a medium dose of hops wherein fruity notes are discernible – stone ones on the nose and citrus on the palate”.

Morgenrot’s commercial director John Critchley said: “The beers from the Cervecera Artesana brewery in Rioja form an integral part of our Spanish offering so we’re delighted to extend the range with the Palax ‘Session’ IPA.

“It’s a key trend beer style at present and is full of those pleasant fruity aromas and hoppy notes with a crisp, highly refreshing finish.”
