Moy Park unveils new chicken range for casual dining

Moy Park Foodservice is introducing a range of chicken products to help bars, pubs and restaurants to tap more into the casual dining market.

The 10-strong Casual Dining Range features dishes such as British Chicken Ballotine, Katsu Curry Chicken Melts, Buttermilk Wings and Smoky BBQ Chicken Shanks. They were launched yesterday at the Casual Dining show in London.

Inspired by what chefs are creating in kitchens, they have been developed and perfected after extensive trend research. Demand for chicken shows no sign of slowing and is eaten on 6.3bn occasions, according to BPC data.

Frannie Santos-Mawdsley, senior customer marketing manager for European foodservice at Moy Park, said: “Tapping into key trends such as Americana, street-food and spiciness as well as traditional British favourites with a twist, the range enables busy kitchens to quickly and simply create stand-out dishes that don’t compromise on taste and quality – the biggest consumer driver of them all.

“In the dynamic, fast-paced world of casual dining there is a consumer expectation for food concepts that offer something new and exciting. Backed by a weight of insight, our new Casual Dining Range offers busy kitchens just that. An innovative, consistent and fresh take on chicken, adding personality and profitability to menus.”

The Chicken Ballotine is a succulent British Red Tractor chicken thigh, de-boned, filled with a tasty pork, sage and onion stuffing and wrapped in bacon. It is described as a traditional mini roast with a premium twist that taps into the popular carvery market.

Katsu Chicken Curry Melts flip the Japanese classic on its head with a hot and sweet katsu curry sauce wrapped in succulent chicken breast and golden fried in breadcrumbs.

The fried Buttermilk Chicken Wings are crisp and juicy while Moy Park’s authentic Smoky BBQ Chicken Shank takes the hard work out of this classic American dish.

Supplied frozen, the range also includes Tomato and Mozzarella Chicken Melts, Southern Spiced Chicken Thigh Burger (pictured), Nacho Cheese Steak, Garlic & Cracked Black Pepper Koftas, Mexican Koftas, and a Gourmet Herb Crusted Chicken Burger.
