MR LYAN STUDIO PRESENTS STUDIO LATES: A PODCAST SERIES

AUGUST 2026 – Mr Lyan Studio, one of the leading innovators in the drinks and hospitality industry, has transformed their popular Studio Lates events into a brand-new podcast series.

The popular event series delves into flavour and creativity in the hospitality industry, with hosts Ryan Chetiyawardana and Anna Sulan Masing engaging their vast network of industry thought leaders in conversations surrounding the current state of the culinary and hospitality worlds, and how to be truly innovative in the space.

Now, with the help of podcast producer Lucy Dearlove, and in partnership with Fever-Tree, the Studio Lates podcast has launched, with episodes featuring UK industry figureheads including Sunny Hodge and Tom Oliver.

The first episode of the series, which launched on 21st July, invited Gregorie Marshall of Blackthorn Salt, Maddy Norval of Dornoch Craft Vinegar, and author Angela Clutton on the show to celebrate two often overlooked kitchen staples: salt and vinegar. The next episode, which will focus on wine and terroir, will feature award-winning bar owner and wine author Sunny Hodge, and will be available on all podcast platforms from Tuesday, 25th August.

The events themselves are hosted at Mr Lyan Studio with a live audience. Throughout each episode, guests are treated to bespoke snacks and drinks created by the Mr Lyan Studio team which are highlighted and discussed in the episode.

This first season will include the following guests and topics:

  • Episode One: Salt & Vinegar: The Flavour Powerhouses, with Gregorie Marshall (Blackthorn Salt), Maddy Norval (Dornoch Craft Vinegar), and Angela Clutton (author of The Vinegar Cupboard) – out now
  • Episode Two: Taking the Terror out of Terroir, with wine author and bar owner Sunny Hodge – out 25 August
  • Episode Three: Heritage & Deliciousness, with cider and perry maker Tom Oliver – out 22 September
  • Episode Four: Featuring Chet Sharma, and will be recorded at the live event on Tuesday, 29 September
  • Episode Five: November, TBC

The launch of the Studio Lates podcast is the latest in a series of exciting initiatives taking place at Mr Lyan Studio. 2025 saw the launch of Mr Lyan’s Taste Trips, an award-winning YouTube series where Ryan Chetiyawardana explores cities around the world through the lens of their unique drinking cultures. The series was shortlisted for the Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards and the Guild of Food Writers Awards in 2026 and has to date surpassed seven million views on YouTube.

The Mr Lyan Studio team also featured prominently at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, the world’s foremost drinks awards and industry event. Mr Lyan Studio’s Managing Director Bob Conwell hosted a seminar exploring a creative and commercial re-think around the no & low industry, while Brand Strategy Director Anna Sulan Masing led a talk focusing on the growing bar scene in Southeast Asia.

The next few months will see the team leading the development of two new and exciting venues – from creative ideation, brand and story creation, to menu development, and strategic and logistic implementation. This includes Bartholomew’s, at the much-anticipated London Museum (opening November 2026), and the relaunch of 1820, the Johnny Walker rooftop bar in Edinburgh this September.
