Novus Leisure unveils burger concept at Tiger Tiger

Strawberry MojitoNovus Leisure has unveiled a new retro burger diner concept, inspired by the 1950s, at its Tiger Tiger in Aberdeen.

It was launched this weekend (May 4), offering a range of good-quality burgers, fries, shakes and onion rings. Its burgers are made with Scottish beef, pressed and made on the premises.

Currently exclusive to Tiger Tiger in Aberdeen, it has more than 10 burger options on the menu, such as the MacSween burger which includes a portion of haggis. Others include the New York New York burger which includes cheese, barbecue sauce and beer-battered onion rings, and a Mexican burger with cheese, baby gem, tomato, red onion, salsa, guacamole and jalapeños.

For big appetites, the Tiger Challenge comprises four quarter-pounder burgers in a bun, cheese, onion rings, crispy bacon and fries, washed down with a milkshake and rounded off with a chocolate brownie. Anyone who completes the challenge will receive a burger on the house when they next visit.

The new burger offering has been developed by Dave Simpson, who is head of the food team at Tiger Tiger in Aberdeen.

Offering food throughout the day and into the night, Tiger Tiger promises service within 15 minutes or diners receive the meal for free. Prices start at £4.50, while a new loyalty scheme offers every sixth burger for free.

Tiger Tiger in Aberdeen covers three floors with bars and clubs such as Novus Leisure’s glamorous Jewel bar concept.

A new cocktail menu, unique to Aberdeen, offers over 30 cocktails from Miami Beach Breezes to Long Island Iced Teas. A new list of 10 varieties of Mojitos, including Orange & Passionfruit, Lemon Drizzle, and Strawberry (pictured), was created by head bartender Warren McMurray working closely with Jack Williams, Novus Leisure’s head mixologist in London.

There is also a selection of cocktail jugs, including the Giant Porn Star Martini, available for sharing.
