Tom Yusef has been appointed as chairman of The Benevolent following the completion of Dan Townsend’s successful two-year tenure.
With over 40 years of service in the freight forwarding sector, first with Ferry Freighting Group then as chairman and joint managing director of JF Hillebrand, Tom has a knowledge of the UK drinks industry and an understanding of the needs of vulnerable colleagues of the trade.
Tom has been a supporter of The Benevolent, both personally and through his company, for many years and has pledged to use his expertise and contacts to further raise the profile of the charity within the UK drinks industry and encourage engagement and financial support from the wider trade. Tom said: “I shall of course do my utmost in the interest of those whose benefit we strive to serve.”
