Erik Lorincz, head bartender at The Savoy’s American Bar, has created a cocktail especially for Father’s Day on Sunday.
Available in the bar for £25 from June 15 to 30, Father’s Honour combines Jack Daniel’s Savoy Silver Select whiskey with Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish cognac. The rich flavours are enhanced by Pierre Ferrand Dry Orange Curaçao, bitters and roasted mint.
Erik said: “I wanted to create something that salutes the honour and respect we have – or should have! – for our fathers and which has an obvious masculinity to its appearance and taste.
“It was also important to me that the drink has a wholesomeness to bring nostalgia and comfort through all the senses. The roasted mint adds a unique layer into the cocktail, along with the presentation on a toasted barrel stave.”

30ml Jack Daniel’s Savoy Silver Select whiskey
25ml Rémy Martin VSOP Mature Cask Finish cognac
15ml Pierre Ferrand Dry Orange Curaçao
3 drops Savoy bitters
3 drops Peychaud’s bitters
All ingredients are carefully slow infused with roasted mint stems and served with ice on a toasted barrel stave.
