From Asian cuisine to barbecue flavours, a world of influences has contributed to the new food menu at Slug and Lettuce bars.
With increasing demand for dishes that can be shared or offer a lighter bite, the new “fast and fresh” signature menu features dishes ranging from a Superfood Salad to a BBQ Pulled Pork Burrito.
Drawing on the influences of Asian street food, one new dish is the Asian Platter, comprising pulled pork steamed buns, hoisin duck spring rolls and crisp butterfly king prawns.
The new dishes were introduced last week alongside a new cocktail menu which has been enhanced with “ten of our best” (pictured below), introducing more people to the bars’ classic and original cocktails.
They range from the Flat White Martini, an indulgent take on the classic Espresso Martini, through to the simplicity of a Strawberry Bellini. They continue to be promoted through two-for-one offers all day every day.
Suzanne Baker, commercial director for Slug and Lettuce at Stonegate Pub Company, said: “The amount of time and money we invest into research, tastings and menu development increases year on year and this time is no different.
“We pride ourselves on creating aspiring and accessible menus which complement every social occasion, from the working breakfast or a casual lunch through to the best nights out.
“We recognise that there are so many factors which contribute to a great experience and we believe that the quality, diversity and value our new menu delivers will mean that Slug and Lettuce continues to be the natural choice on the high-street.”
Throughout the week bars offer great-value deals for its customers, including the popular “Happy Mondays” promotion of 50% off food all day. Due to popular demand, the “Wine Down Wednesday” offer is set to carry on with selected bottles of wine priced at £11.45.
On top of this, “Fizz Friday” allows customers to buy a bottle of prosecco for £12 and a Fizz Bowl, with shots of liqueur for making Bellinis, for £16 until 10pm.
