A range of labels has been introduced by catering equipment specialist Nisbets to help bars, pubs and other operators to comply with legislation over allergens.
The easy-peel labels include common allergens such as milk, eggs and peanuts as well as less common ones such as molluscs and soya beans.
The Vogue Allergen labels are in line with the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation that came into force in December and requires all restaurants, bars, pubs and other food and drinks establishments to provide information on ingredients covering 14 allergens.
Each of the one-inch labels come in a pack of 1,000 and leave no residue on products after being removed. Their blue, white and red design makes them clear enough to stand out, making it easier for people to identify what allergens are in the food or drink.
Nisbets also provides Food Allergy notices for buffet and catering events. These double-sided stickers come in packs of eight, with four for walls and four for windows.
