Winchester Distillery has unveiled a new design for its flagship gin Twisted Nose.
Originally launched five years ago, Twisted Nose combines Hampshire-grown watercress with juniper and eight other botanicals, including coriander seed grown in the South Downs and lavender from Long Barn in Alresford.
Using 20% less glass and 95% less plastic, the gin is now presented in a bespoke bottle that captures the natural habitat of where it’s made by “rippling and refracting like the surface of a Hampshire chalk stream”.
Surrey-based Valiant Design created the new design concept, with the bottle now featuring an oak stopper and ‘Made in Hampshire’ written in raised glass. The refreshed branding is hoped to elevate the gin to a UK-wide and international brand.
Paul Bowler, owner of Winchester Distillery, said: “Twisted Nose was the first gin I created, which launched back in 2014. With the growth of the business and successful Crowdcube crowdfunding campaign earlier this year, it was the right time to reinvigorate Twisted Nose.
“The new design perfectly captures all the key elements of our delicious, flagship gin and will help us take it to a new level.”
