New Madeira finish for Glenfiddich

Glenfiddich has launched in the UK its first- ever 19-year- old single malt Scotch whisky, which has been matured in oak casks previously used to age fine Madeira wine.

Glenfiddich Age of Discovery Madeira Cask Finish celebrates Portuguese explorers in the 15th century who discovered the islands of Porto Santo and Madeira. The whisky has aromas of ripe fig, caramelised fruit and spicy notes of cinnamon and black pepper.

As previewed in Bar magazine in November, Glenfiddich has also released its 1974 Glenfiddich Vintage Reserve – its first ever vatted single malt Vintage Reserve.
