A new rooftop bar is to open at the London Marriott Hotel Park Lane, offering cocktails such as ready-made Negronis and Old Fashioneds served in tuna cans.

With capacity of up to 100 people, Notch will operate over the summer months from May 5 on the fourth floor of the hotel, accessed via a discreet entrance on Oxford Street near Marble Arch.

It is being designed by DENLDN, which has worked on other projects such as east London’s Street Feast and London restaurant Lima, with a look described as “Williamsburg Warehouse meets Berlin Yard Sale”.

Drinks will have a summer feel to them with a range of rum, tequila and gin cocktails as well as the classic Negroni, Old Fashioned and Adonis cocktails served in tuna cans.

Other drinks will include the Red Pigeon made with Espolón Tequila, Campari, lime juice, pink grapefruit juice and sugar and the Humming Bird which uses Bulldog Gin, elderflower, lavender, apple, lemon juice and sugar, priced at £8 each.

It will also offer schooners of craft beers and bags of wine as well as an Uncle Wray’s Slushie Rum Punch.

Fudo Shack will provide Japanese street food from 10am to 10pm with a menu of small bites. Among weekly specials, Notch signature dishes will include spicy Buffalo wings, short rib steamed buns and a sashimi pizza made up of sliced tuna, anchovy aioli, wasabi tobiko, sesame seeds and coriander.

There will be a dedicated brunch menu served on Saturdays and Sundays as well as a great selection of desserts.
