New transparent bottle to be unveiled for Pink Pigeon

A new bottle is to be unveiled for Pink Pigeon vanilla-spiced Mauritian rum that replaces the original black design with see-through glass to show the liquid.

The black and white Pink Pigeon emblem remains but the transparent bottle shows off the golden rum that gains its colour from many months of infusion with hand-pollinated Bourbon vanilla.

The label also carries the signature of the rum’s creator and master blender, Alain R Chatel who oversees the selection of natural botanicals that also include delicate orchid petals and fresh orange peel.

Owner Berry Bros & Rudd Spirits and UK distributor Mangrove will officially unveil the new bottle during London Cocktail Week, which runs from October 6 to 12.

Luke Tegner, brands marketing director at Berry Bros. & Rudd Spirits, said: “In order to lead the discussion with the trade and consumers on the ever-growing world of spiced rum, we will be conducting spiced rum master classes during London Cocktail Week, providing insight on the three botanicals which give Pink Pigeon its distinct flavour profile. This gives a perfect opportunity to unveil our clear glass bottle with showcases the rum so well.”
