Instil Drinks Company is taking over UK distribution for two premium ranges of liqueurs: Quenza from Spain and Combier from France.
The Quenza range is owned by Hijos de Rivera, the group that also produces Spanish beer Estrella Galicia. It comprises three after-dinner liqueurs: the Crema cream liqueur with hints of cinnamon, the naturally roasted coffee-flavoured Café liqueur, and the Hierbas herb liqueur. The range also includes Quenza Blanco, an aguardiente – the Galician style of grappa.
Hijos de Rivera has been producing the aguardiente-based liqueurs since 2005. They are handmade, following traditional Galician production methods.
Instil is also taking on the UK agency for Combier’s liqueurs, ranging from the already popular Combier Triple Sec to a host of other flavoured liqueurs. The liqueurs date back nearly 180 years ago when they were first made in Saumur in the Loire Valley by confectioners Jean-Baptiste Combier and his wife Josephine.
Quenza and Combier will sit alongside the likes of Pococello Limoncello and Fiorente Elderflower Liqueur within Instil’s growing range of premium liqueurs, spirits, beers and ciders.
Mark Johnson, managing director of Instil Drinks Company, said: “We are delighted to be adding these fantastic liqueurs to our portfolio. Both Combier and Hijos de Rivera produce liqueurs of the highest quality and we are looking forward to being able to offer them to our customers.
“Liqueurs are essential components to many a cocktail recipe so are a must-list for bars and restaurants. The quality, value and variety that Quenza and Combier can offer make them a very exciting proposition for us.”
