New year, new look for Chester’s rock and roll cocktail bar

Chester’s first rock and roll cocktail bar has undergone a new year makeover and is now back open for business.

The £60,000 renovation throughout the popular 200sqm night spot was showcased at a reopening event on Friday January 20.

The centrepiece of the renovation is an eye opening Onyx style bar – a modern bar top and fascia, backlit in red to create a warm glow.

Founder of Kuckoo Chester, and chief designer of the project, Richard Powell, said: “We’ve taken an already great concept for Chester to the next level, and we were delighted to showcase the new interior to visitors during our reopening night – which was a superb evening!

“I took a lead role in the new design of the premises – it is my ultimate passion to ensure the interior resembles our core brand values of having fun and letting loose in a comfortable yet glamorous environment.
The renovation took just two weeks to complete and Kuckoo Chester is now fully re-open.”

Rock and roll cocktails include the Renegade Marmalade, consisting of Beefeater Gin, lemon, limoncello, marmalade, sugar and egg whites and the Super Vixen combining Stoli vanilla vodka, strawberry and white chocolate liquor shaken with vanilla and caramel and fresh cream.
