New Yorkshire gin made with local rhubarb and liquorice

A new gin made in Yorkshire, with locally grown rhubarb and liquorice, has been introduced through drinks supplier CWF.

Jacqson dry gin is distilled in Huddersfield in small batches, using botanicals sourced from around the world as well as the local rhubarb and liquorice. It is made according to the cold vacuum method to intensify the flavours.

The aim was to create an “outstanding dry gin with a contemporary yet traditionally Yorkshire flavour”. It has ABV of 42%.

The idea for the gin came from mother and son team Jacqueline and Sam Dumigan, which has inspired the name.
