Nominations open for Operations Managers Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2018 Operations Managers Awards, the annual competition to identify the best in the hospitality sector.

The awards, run by trade body UKHospitality, celebrates outstanding individuals managing multi-site businesses in the managed and leased sectors of hospitality, including bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants.

Nominations can be made online now at, with entry papers to be submitted before May 28.

The top 20 nominees will become finalists, spending a day in the field with a mentor judge before they face rigorous interviews with separate panels of leading industry professionals to test their knowledge, insight and potential.

The finalists will also attend the challenging and stimulating Ops MasterClass from July 17 to 19. The winners of the 2018 Operations Managers Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony on October 15.

“The Operations Managers Awards gives the best and brightest in our sector a chance to shine and impress our panel of expert judges and I am looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.”

The awards were previously run by the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR) which has now merged with the British Hospitality Association to form UKHospitality.

UKHospitality represents over 700 companies, 65,000 venues and 2.9 million workers in the hospitality sector across a wide range of leisure and out-of-home businesses, from FTSE 100 enterprises to niche groups and independent single-site operators.
