Be At One set to expand to 33 sites with Bournemouth deal

Be At One cocktail bar group continues to expand across the UK by taking on a site in Bournemouth – its second on the south coast.

It has completed a deal on the site of a former nightclub on Richmond Hill, with basement trading space and initial capacity of 200 people.

The premises will undergo an extensive refurbishment before opening in August with its new Be At One identity. With Be At One due to open in Boar Lane in Leeds on May 26, Bournemouth will be the company’s 33rd site. Its other south coast site is in Brighton.

Recruitment for the bar is now underway, seeking to recruit and train 12 individuals for new jobs. Visit

Co-founder and director Steve Locke said: “We’re really excited to have secured this prominent site in Bournemouth as it’s a location that has long been on our target list.

“It’s a vibrant city that has benefited from significant investment in recent times which, in turn, has brought a great buzz to the centre from locals and tourists alike.

“Once open, our new site will very much have a classic Be At One feel to it. We’re deliberately creating quite an intimate space that will help generate the unique atmosphere that we’re renowned for. We’re eager to get the site open as we move into summer and expect a busy few months ahead.

“We look forward to delivering the Be At One experience of high-quality cocktails and warm, friendly service in a fun atmosphere to our new guests in the city.”
