What is thought to be London’s first dedicated bar for dogs is set to pop up in Chelsea, offering pups a chance to lap up “pawsecco” in style.
The bar will debut on June 23 at the front of Pet Pavilion, the premier boutique for pet supplies, at its branch in Chelsea Farmers Market in Sydney Street.
The Pet Pavilion Pawsecco Bar will open after work on Fridays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays until September, offering dogs a selection of food and drinks to enjoy in the sunshine.
Its speciality will be “pawsecco” – a blend of elderflower, nettle, ginseng and limeflower created with the advice of veterinary experts which is non-alcoholic, non-carbonated and grape-free.
Pawsecco is also available to buy from Pet Pavilion, in variants of Pet-House White and Pet-House Rosé, in a gift box which contains one of each 250ml bottle.
Also on the bar menu will be Bottom Sniffer Beer – a non-alcoholic, non-carbonated beer developed specifically for dogs using dandelion and burdock.
They can also enjoy Pet Pavilion’s Doggy Gelato – a cooling treat again created just for dogs – plus canapés provided by premium dog food specialist The Rockster. Gourmet treats will include Boeuf du Cap, made with “Bio-Superfoods”, Sunday Roast of Grass-fed Lamb, Super Bone Broth and Bio-Organic Chicken and Turkey.
For humans, the bar will offer real prosecco and beer.
Since opening 20 years ago in Chelsea, Pet Pavilion has expanded to branches in Kensington, Notting Hill and Wimbledon. They offer collars, leads, toys, beds, carriers, brushes and natural shampoos and stock full ranges of organic and luxurious pet treats including camomile gluten-free dog biscuits, doggy herbal teas and even The Dog House range of treats created by three Michelin-star chef Michel Roux.
