Peacock cider grows with new Asian-inspired fruit flavour

Peacock Mango & Lime Cider

A new flavour has been introduced by Kingfisher Beer Europe to build on the success of its Asian-inspired Peacock Cider.

Peacock Mango & Lime, with ABV of 4%, is available in 500ml bottles, with the sweetness of the mango balanced by the zesty lime.

Peacock Apple Cider was launched by Kingfisher Beer Europe in November last year after being developed with leading cider maker Aspall. The brand is named after the national bird of India which is also found in China and Japan.

The new flavour’s label incorporates the bright orange hues of India’s national fruit, the mango, as well as subtle gold illustrations of the fruit ingredients.

John Price, head of marketing for Kingfisher Beer Europe, said: “We’ve been blown away by the success of Peacock Apple Cider. Both the trade and consumers alike have embraced the need for a cider designed to match Asian cuisine and it is already being stocked in over 1,000 restaurants.

“The launch of Mango & Lime is the next step in the development of this premium cider brand.”
