Playboy Club to relaunch Salvatore’s Bar with new identity

Salvatore's Bar

Playboy Club London is set to relaunch the glamorous bar it previously ran with Salvatore Calabrese as The Tale Bar.

Formerly Salvatore’s Bar (pictured), the space is set to be launched on Saturday (April 16) as a celebration of the heroes and vintage charm of the Playboy company’s past. As before, guests will be served by the brand’s iconic bunnies.

Although further details about The Tale Bar are being kept under wraps, it promises a “sophisticated” menu of “timeless” and “elegant” cocktails.

The relaunch follows Salvatore’s departure in March after heading the bar at the Mayfair club since the venue opened in November 2010. He is opening a new bar in Hong Kong and hopes to develop another “more intimate” venue in London.

Austin Graham, venue director at Playboy Club London, said: “It’s an exciting time for Playboy Club London as we establish a new bar that captures the very heart of the Playboy charm and heritage.

“The launch of The Tale Bar is also very timely as we look forward to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the opening of Playboy Club in London.

“The Tale Bar, with its unique Bunny service, wit and style offers the people of London a truly unique way to relax and unwind. We very much look forward to welcoming new and existing customers so they can begin their own story with us.”
