Popular Leeds bar set for a Call Lane comeback

A popular Leeds bar is set to make a return to the city’s Call Lane after closing in January after more than four years.

Brothers Jimmy and Symon Dean sold the old site of Baracoa Luxe Bar (pictured) in Call Lane to Revolution Bars Group for a Revolución de Cuba but have now found a new venue a few doors down.

The new Baracoa Luxe Bar will open in November in the former premises of the Rock Bar after Jimmy and Symon rejected potential sites in other parts of Leeds.

Symon said: “Baracoa has a unique feel and clientele. It’s very special. In the four years of operating the previous site we were blown away with the incredible support shown by the Leeds public, and of course those that come into our city from out of town.

“People know what they are getting from Baracoa and that is why our repeat custom was better than anybody. The proof of that is in the amount of messages we have received through our social media since we closed in January.”
